Both albums are masterpieces. But they almost cant get more different.
Yeah they are different as hell, I'll give you that. Maybe it is just a preferance to the more experimental and progressive sound (WYWH) over the raw, rocky sound of Animals.

Well if you don't like this live clip from Animals and both vote it as master prog and master Pink Floyd then im confused. Easy, Music don't get better than this. And it's not even the best song on Animals.

A very, very good album. But the best?? I can't see that. Still a very good album I often listen to.

Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.

Flaming is too good of a song not to have the album as the best album. Not to mention a solid debut album considering Syd's very bizarre style.

Voted for Ummagumma. I like the variety of styles here, that each group member gets to do their own thing, and do it pretty well, for that time.

I was never too crazy about The Dark Side of the Moon. 2nd favorite Pink Floyd would be The Piper at the Gates of Dawn followed by Meddle.

From the ones I've heard, Dark Side of the Moon. Wish You Were Here is pretty damn awesome, too, as it has Shine On You Crazy Diamond, but five tracks won't do. The Wall has some good songs too, but there is too many tracks that only serve to tell a story. I can listen to Dark Side of the Moon non-stop, and I don't do that very often.
