Piper's my favourite for the sheer energy, joy and kaleidoscope of sounds.
It still sounds as marvelous and fresh as it did all those years ago back in '69 when as schoolboys we scraped together 50 quid to buy stereo systems and wack on Astronomy Domine at near full volume on the headphones.
What a journey that album is!

I just completed reading the book Comfortably Numb, which filled in a lot of holes for me in the Floyd story. I think after the read I have to say that Dark Side has recently become my favorite over the others, because I dont think I can separate the story behind the making of all those albums. DSOTM is the last and most cohesive of all the Floyd albums. They were still mates while making that album. I consider that the apex of the band. I LOVE ALL the Floyd albums, and having just recently aquired Rattle that lock, and Radio KAOS and soon Is this the life we really want? I have to say that I like everything to do with this band.

Meddle and Animals are the peak of Pink Floyd for me, but nearly everything they did in their prime was genius.

I voted for Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Pink Floyd was at their best with Syd Barrett.

The runner ups would be Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here.

DSOTM unashamedly. The album defies time and is a true masterpiece of any genre.
I'm tied between Wish You Were Here, The Wall and The Division Bell for second place.

Although my favourite song is Shine On, I think that, as albums, The Wall and The Dark Side Of The Moon are the best ones.
But The Wall just has too much "Waters" in it, so I'd say The Dark Side was more of a group project and more "enjoyable", and that's why I vote for it. My favourite track would be Time.
