I noticed earlier today while listening to the Wall that in the ext. inst. section at the end of ABITW pt2 there isn't any rhythm guitar continuing to play like earlier in the song which surprises me 'cause you'd think the solo would have been dubbed on but the absence of that rhythm guitar suggests David played the rythm guitar and the solo as part of the same take.

Alright Pink Floyd fans I have a political song analysis I have to do and I've decided to a song from Animals. My question to you is which song should I do? I'm leaning towards Pigs but Dogs sounds pretty tempting as well.

What do you think?

Ive always thought this album was v.political but now I've come to see it differntly. Dogs is about buisness. Pigs is about media culture and Sheep is about Roger's contempt for his fans. Great album though. absoulbtely love it. I'd go for Dogs or Pigs. Dogs has the best lyrics of any Floyd song i think. How old are you? Can you remember Mary Whitehouse?

Alright I'm interested in having a look at Syd era Floyd and his solo albums. So far the closest I've got is Arnold Layne and Jugband Blues. Now I'm definetely going to get Piper but do you guys reckon I should get Syd's solo albums?

i've only really heard Madcap laughs and although it's a bit ramshackle but the songs are o.k.
