god you lot are so sad! Who cares what genre a band is? If you like their music, fine,if you don't shut the hell up? Green day are only thought of as punk because the punk has changed meaning a lot since it began. they are mainstream pop rock, so what if they think they're punk? They're doing what they want and i respect them cos they are a very successful band and they have some good songs but so what if they aren't punk? get a lifE!!!

50 cent is as punk as simple plan. if 9 shots didnt do it how come they stopped shooting. and green day is punk though they are on the tamer side of punk, the new cd is awesome. jesus of suburbia is a brilliant song.

well deffo not in the punk forum, personally i clicked on here and i had to check whether i was actually in the punk forum...
not that im really bothered, greenday have let the world down with american idiot -- and dont bother arguing with me cus i ent gonna come back and argue about the genre of greenday....they are jus not punk (full stop) |
