Green Day really rock, you can't get tired of them. Saying that, I agree that American Idiot is getting slightly annoying on the music channels. But with great tunes such as Jesus of Suburbia, Letterbomb and Wake Me up When September Ends, the album will go on selling for ages. Also, Basket Case, Minority, When I Come Around and Warning all really rock as well.

Actually I have a friend who went the other way. He was into sort of rock music, and since this other kid started bringing his walkman in, he went toward the DMX sort of trash that this forum doesn't deserve to have messages posted about. I have been into punk for many a year, and before that preferred the Beatles/The Who sort of stuff that my Dad listened to. Still like them, but not as much as GREEN DAY!!! and Sum 41's old stuff. PUNK ROCK er.... ROCKS!!!

American Idiot is a ****ty song. ****ing anti-american twats dont bloody realize a ****ing thing. Greenday is really ****ty, with the exception of a couple of their older songs. A bunch of chords with little to no differing rhythm. ****ing punk/and or punk influenced.

You know what, headfoot, thats all their songs are: basic chords. Yet they DO have rhythm, and they are one of the finest punk bands in the world at the moment. Did anyone see them on Jools Holland? They were way better than Estelle and Robbie Williams!

I like them, I think they're a good band, but by no means the best. to me, the best would mean having more than basic chords, I just have put bands that have more complex music higher than those that don't.

Thats some impressive list! i think Basket Case is such a class song - I heard on the radio the first time I heard it and thought "wow, this song's great!"... The video's pretty cool as well!

Tribute to Greenday
Greenday is one of the most inspirational punk bands. They have been a band for a very long time and there newest cd American Idiot awesome. Anyone who thinks other wise...:finger:
