Oh I don`t know about that. They did call Fall Out Boy the worst band in history.

I`d say that was a pretty accurate description.

They did? Wow, I suddenly have a small amount of respect for them.

Still doesnt change their crap countdowns and such... I think the last one I saw was "50 most outrageous rock stars" and they had the likes of Eminem at number 6 , I believe.

C'mon don't judge their entire current image on that one song., The song isn't even that bad, it's just overplayed because that's the one the emo kids attached themselves too. And what band doesn't sing about depression every now and then.

wow....a green day thread that didnt turn into a genre argument.. what an accomplishment.......good job guys.

i agree with Phish..their image has been skewed just because of their new album. so what..? everyones gonna go hate them because of one crappy over played song off of one crappy overplayed album??? they do have about 5 other albums that have good songs on them. everyone says lately that they sold out, but .....well.....sold out has nothing to do with it.

i don't judge any band unless i have previously owned one of their albums.
and i have in fact owned many Green Day albums, not to mention had to listen to the latest one. and i have never liked any of their music. the only difference between those albums and this one is, is that i had more respect for the band in their older cds, simply because they didn't care if they were the latest trend or not.
and yes what band hasn't had a depressing song, but lately its become a trend. as for Green Day, all of their songs used to be sarcastic/mellow happiness. they were a bunch of guys jammin around for the fun of it.
the band claims their just taking a "serious" side of their music. funny, how so is all the rest of the latest or returning bands. a good example, Blink 182.
and these bands are serious for whom?
the fans? = nope wrong answer
to sell the album? =bingo! good job!

and yes that song was overplayed.
but that still didn't make it good when it wasn't.

if you never liked them....then why did you buy "many of their albums"?
