For Black Flag, I'd say "Depression" is better known, and more authentic.
What I'm measuring authenticity by, I do not know.

It seems people are voting for the Sex Pistols solely because they're well known....

True, but to me, there isn't much room for debate when comparing near-unanimous considerations.
I guess I just prefer things to be a little less spelled out.

Got to agree; Blitzkrieg Bop, 100%. I LOVE that song. A lot of fun to play on Rock Bank too.
