Visconti's The Damned also sounds great https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Damned_(1969_film) I must listen to the Lou Reed live album! Another thing. This was published in August 1981. Who were the "Ian Curtis derivatives" back then? Probably a gratuitous dig at Robert Smith. And New Order? Who else? Also whenever I see Jack Lemmon's name this is what comes to mind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQVN...ayBsZW1tb24%3D As well as this charming pop song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbZF6h09mVo

The Fall - Hands Up Billy
Except for a couple of spoken exhortations from Mark E. Smith, guitarist Neville Wilding wrote and sings this interesting tune, which seems to be about a guy who sells Billy a car at a dealership and then steals it from him later. Who knows, Fall tune can be about pretty much anything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpBd...&start_radio=1 |
