most of those critics would write that they "matured" musically. i dunno. some bands need to do something different. others need to stick with what theyre doing right. maybe they are trying to appeal to their current audience and not to their old fans

Blink does MTV pop rock well... the melodies are always good for people learing how to play guitar and their songs are catchy. But in trying to have a deeper meaning and appeal to a more "hardcore" audience.. they will fail. I just hope that soon they abandone their "poor me, misunderstood, sad" music and go back to what they hooked me with originally. Oh, and I'll have to assasinate tom Delonge if he tries to pull a greenday, one horrible transition to pathetic political pop punk is enough for me.

Ever time some one says they like a band, it doesn't give others the right to judge them on that band...i listen to blink and everytime i tell people they say "Their pop-punk...so your a wannabie" I mean come on...

What you said. . .

If I cared even al ittle bit about what I thought people said I'd never get anywhere in life.
I have ears thank you very much. I can identify the sound of music and crap for myself. Don't do it for me.
And if I wanted your opinion, I'd take the tape from off yuor mouth. So until them stay quiet.

well put. but it was necessary. they needed to do something different. and thats prob what blink thinks too. i dont know any of blink stuff besides the really fruity stuff they used to play on radio from the album that had the pornstar on the cover.

they suck. and yes, they are "pop rock" or "power pop" so technically this whole thread is off topic with the whole "punk thing," no?

Who the heck says "power punk" anyways?
And I thought I had some wierd catch phrases.
can you read? i wrote POWER POP not power punk. there is no such thing as power punk. THAT is stupid. power pop is basically another way of saying pop rock. pop music with a harder feel. jeez.
