First, Good Charlotte was on her list, you must be blinder than me. Second, I'm just not a fan of The Hives, I can't stand the singer's voice and to have them at number one on a top ten punk bands of all time list is ridiculous.

I promise to think before I post this. I don't know how I could possibly not recognize Good Charlotte!

Sure, The Hives really aren't purely a punk band and to have them rated as the greatest of all-time is silly. But I thought you were lumping them in with those other bands. And singer's voice is an awful reason to completely dismiss a band IMO...

I'd have to agree with you, I don't feel like I am dismissing them but due to the fact that in the type of music they play vocals are always prevelent, and at times it can be hard to get past singer's who you think have annoying voices.

I don't have any other reason to dislike The Hives rather than me just purely not liking the band and I felt as if I needed a reason when I previously posted that. And I wasn't trying to lump The Hives in with Good Charlotte and +44 they aren't that bad.

I like your choices, especially including The Dead Milkmen. Do you really consider Jane's Addiction punk though?

Have you ever listened to The Hives? Their debut album, Barely Legal, doesn't have a single song clock in at more than 3:00 and half of them are less than two minutes. Listen to some of those tracks and tell me it isn't at least some parts punk:
