Jackhammer and Stu, those are all new names to me..cheers guys.

do any of you use soulseek? I can't find ANYTHING by any of the bandz I've searched for thus far. nothing by Gomm, no Section 25, no Angelic Process, no NWW. The sharing threads have disappeared since I last came to this forum, and it seems uploading is now no longer permitted. Understandable given Oink and whatnot, but it sux.
Fields of The Nephilim are a seriously underated band and a highly influential band. Go to youtube to check stuff out.

If you like industrial stuff i recommend Front Line Assembly, they combine dark electronica and rock perfectly.
If you want more dark post-punk/goth try The Virgin Prunes

Bands like EARTH:

Zero Ohms (extremely mellow)
Jesu (With Justin Broadrick from Godflesh)
OM
The Melvins (Joe Preston from the Melvins was also in Earth)
Zozobra
Eyehategod
Sunn 0))) (Closely associated with Earth)

Check out bands on Southern Lord records. You will like a lot of what you see, if you are into Earth.

From a more dark goth perspective:

Xmal Deutchland
March Violets
Ghost Dance
The Rose of Avalanche
Salvation / James Ray

From a noise perspective:

The Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy
Loop - any of their early stuff
Lydia Lunch

From a hardcore(esque) perspective:
Minutemen
Amphetamine Reptile stuff (Cows / Dwarves / Helios Creed etc.)
