That's what they all say.

"Oh, I liked them before they got popular."

I mean, with spikey hair and lyrics like "don't wanna be youuuuuu", that is so against the system.

I'm gonna go spraypaint their name along with other bands like Sum 41 and Hedley that are punx on a downtown wall because that's how anti-establishment I am.

Yes but it's Stiff Little Fingers & the Clash that allegedly influenced Green Day... and their early stuff in my opinion wasn't bad. I love Time Of Your Life for nostalgia's sake. I wouldn't call the early stuff "hardcore", though, just... I dunno. Genuine. What "sellout" means to me is not genuine. FOB to me, and the bands that follow in that "catergory" are not genuine because they're mass-produced and whatnot, just too general to be genuine if you will. Out to make money. Then again, sub-question, is it wrong to disown a band for being famous? Cobain killed himself cuz he was too famous (at least, that's the popular theory), and people still love Nirvana. But Nirvana, to me, was genuine. See, people like bands like Nirvana and Radiohead not because they're shoved down your throat 24/7 by the media, but because they're just GOOD.

People call those bands sellouts because they get more airtime than their favorite bands. I have no problem with Good Charlotte. They are a decent little band. People hate them just because they are "popular," but they make some cool songs.

i see you have a tom delonge quote...can we really trust your opinion when it comes to rubbishy pop-punk?

a side note: the term pop-punk does not really make sense does it.

Is fall out boy belongs to punk before?

i Think They were considered as "sellouts" because of their change their image.
that's what i think only! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
