Fall Out Boy, Blink 182 etc. Have never sold their music on some sort of punk rock image.

Uh..... no they don't. People just think that the music that they've been making of recent is ****(i don't actually mind American Idiot) most people who love that album- myself included, judge it as a pop album.

isn't fall out boy emo? there not even punk...

File 13 09-05-2008 04:55 PM

LOL They are not emo. I would call them pop-punk if anything.

Alfred 09-05-2008 05:00 PM

They're not pop-punk either.

They're as punk as The Jonas Brothers.

File 13 09-05-2008 05:02 PM

I would call their earlier work pop-punk (Fall Out Boy's Evening Out with Your Girlfriend & Take This to Your Grave). Their last 2 albums have definitely been pop music though.

Alfred 09-05-2008 09:38 PM

I wouldn't call any of it pop-punk. Pop-rock at absolute best.

FireInCairo 09-06-2008 05:14 AM

what have they got to do with punk???

FireInCairo 09-06-2008 05:14 AM

and real emo is utter ****
but im sure emo fans would be appalled that this commercialized mall-pop is considered emo

GreenStreet 09-11-2008 05:19 AM

perhaps cause they change styles, just to get famous, even though they made good music before they got commercial...

it's all about the money...
