Default Best Clash Album?

In your opinion, what is the best Clash album?

I would have to say London Calling. That album just kicked ass. I, not being a fan of The Clash's departure from Punk, actually like most of the non-punk songs on this album. Rudie Can't Fail is an amazing ska song. Their hard rock songs on this album such as Death Or Glory or I'm Not Down were incredible. Their covers of Brand New Caddillac and Wrong Em' Boyo are some of their best works.

Their second best would have to be their debut.

Thoughts?

I'm not a big Clash fan, but I would agree with you in that London Calling is their best. The only other one I really like is the debut, although there are some good songs on the other albums.

London Calling it is.

For anyone that's interested.

The version of Combat Rock that was released was the bands 2nd attempt at recording it. Originally they tried to make the album with Mick Jones handling the production. From those sessions I present to you the original version of Should I Stay Or Should I Go , complete with more Spanish lyrics and a saxophone solo...

I've said many a time that London Calling is probably one of the best albums ever, so its got to be that.
