Fixed.

Glad we're in agreement though. I was thinking I was crazy.

I always thought the best punk bands were the ones that were more literate and had an art school vibe about them, and did actually have something to say.

For me The Ramones were a great Rock n Roll band but shouldn't be anywhere near a list of greatest punk bands.

Can you drop some names so I can make sure I understand where you're coming from?

I agree but I'm just talking about who is most "punk". In terms of who I like the best I'd easily take a band like Television any day over a band like the Ramones.

I assumed you meant post punk type music but I wasn't sure if I was missing something. I agree though, I'd take something like Talking Heads or the Fall and that jazz over most of the more punk oriented "punk" music I've heard, if that makes sense.

The only real 'punk' punk band I like is The Damned, and even they ditched it to become more of a goth band.

My problem with The Ramones is.... they bore me. I don't care if they "represent punk" they're music to me is just not very enjoyable. I would much rather listen to The Clash, The Cure etc even if they are less punky only because they're music is more enjoyable

Well... I'd rather listen to those bands too. But I do enjoy the Ramones from time to time.

So do I. They're not awful, just kind of boring to me. Why are we arguing again..?
