if it helps the ramones said blondie lost their integrity by having record companies dictate their musical direction.
been that punk is holier then thou about these things take note.

Well, I'd say most late-'70s punk bands fall under that: Ramones, Buzz****s, Boomtown Rats, Rezillos, etc.

Even the Sex Pistols fall under that, to me. I think their music boils down to simple, catchy pop. With a certain attitude, of course, but still catchy and poppy.

Absolutely! Thats John Peels favorite song of all time.

And the Ramones have a point with Blondie, thats why I said her older **** is definately punk, Id say anything before Parralell Lines. "X Offender" is an awesome jam.
