It's not though tbh. A few decent singles and a performance at Live Aid. That was it. If he didn't cark it in the early 90s I doubt he'd be held in such high esteem now. The way it happened adds to his legend as well, similar to 2Pac's death (another guy overrated cos he carked it).

Wayne Coyne is a joy to see live. He's definitely a hippie but I couldn't help but smile at his namby-pamby crap about loving eachother during their Cleveland show. Does that make me weak? A commie? Both?

Over the years I've seen upwards of a hundred arena/stadium shows and Queen in 1977 is easily in my top 3. Freddie's also the best rock vocalist I've ever seen live.

Saying Queen was/is overrated is simply dumb. Plus they peaked both commercially and successfully for many years and over a decade before Freddie's death.

Nobody is listening to Fat Bottomed Girls or indeed most of what you listed in 2018 come off it Chula.

I loved them when I was younger but they don't hold up so well these days. The whole silly, operatic, showtunes take on rock is too gimmicky.
