The Wipers, why do I never see discussion of this great band (psychedelic, punk)

Like a great many 80's bands The Wipers seem to be stuck there, punk kids today tend to skip over a lot of that stuff and head straight for the Ramones or some other well known band. There were many great bands from that era that should have gotten more attention along with The Wipers. The Pandoras, The Leaving Trains, The Fluid etc.
