I used to listen to Green Day a lot as a yungun, but the first CD I got for myself was The Ramones debut. I heard Blitzkrieg Bop on Tony Hawk Pro Skater and I was amazed! the end

Probably the Arctic Monkeys. I love all their albums and I subconsciously find myself singing Mardy Bum most of the time

This thread prompted me to look through my hard drive and dig up a lot of old music I have from my old computer, my playlist for the next few days is gonna be full of bad religion, social distortion, ignite, and the ramones. Those were the first punk bands I got really into. I think Bad Religion was the first punk band I got really into, pretty soon after I heard American Jesus I'd collected the entire discography. I actually got into punk music from watching ski movies. One movie had a segment set to social distortion - story of my life, and after that, I started searching all the soundtracks of all my ski movies for good punk music I hadn't heard before. I actually found a lot of good stuff that way.

Same here, I didn't even know punk existed until I heard some of Social Distortions earlier stuff. They got me into Punk Music, although my Punk library is still empty.

The first punk band I heard was Sex Pistols, but what really hooked me was Dead Kennedys.

Ramones,Clash, Sex Pistols
"Sheena Is A Punk Rocker" said it all. People went punk or disco in NYC in the late 70's

The first punk song I heard was "Amoeba" by The Adolescents, also in a Tony Hawk game.

The Clash. London Calling blew my mind and I strayed away from being a 60s-o-phile.
