There were, and still are, tons of great bands from Canada. Though they are overshadowed by their UK namesake, the Subhumans did play some great punk. Another band that's missed mention, so far, is Teenage Head. The Nils were pretty good, too.

F*cked Up, Comeback Kid, Propagandhi, Career Suicide, Cursed, Brutal Knights, we've got a good number of bands.

yeah, forgot about them. Alexisonfire is my favorite Canadian band... they're not usually brought up in punk discussions but I think of them as a punk band

agreed... those albums were both pretty raw... their newest EP has two really straightforward punk songs on it too

Asexuals is a good Canadian punk group. One of the first punk bands I ever heard.

The only two that I like are Chuck's Nation and Propagandhi

I interviewed 2 pioneers of Canadian punk on March 2nd...just posted part 1 on my Punk Retrospective blog today. Dave Rave started the Shakers, played on most of the Teenage Head albums and even replaced Frankie Venom for a while as singer. Cups von Helm was the drummer for the American Devices through the 80's...check out what they had to say about the beginnings of punk...
