No it wasn't my intention to "put down" Dropkick Murphy's. They're not quite my style, but that doesnn't mean they're not a great band. the two comments that made up my post were mutually exclusive. I was just suggesting a couple other good Irish Punk bands.

Well it depends what you would consider Irish. Since america is a country of lazy immigrants we all associate but where our ancestry came from. So here, you're irish if thats where you decend from, but allegedly this isn't the case overseas who regard us as Yankee slag. DKM is huge for them, they are in fact from boston, most of the are irish (as far as americans are concerned) and if you want a badass band try the Prodigals.
