Well, not that I'm all knowing about the subject, but punk seems to be really clickish and like some exclusive club. You have to fit into all the rules, otherwise you are a poser (or however people declare it spelled). Polka has no such rules, at least not to my knowledge.

theres just as many elitist in punk rock as in any other genre. Basically a bunch of people who think that their way is the true way and are oblivious to any sort of changes that may be happening around them in their own scene.

And the people who put safety pins on their American Eagle outfits and dye their mohawks blue don't fit into that elitist click I would say.
I would say most of the older punks who have their own views on things and fit into this 'elitist click' you speak of are cooler in my mind for ignoring the changing times.
All this pop-punk and whatnot where others that have no free thinking beliefs adapt the punk sound is destroying the punk social culture.
And I believe that this is how older punks see things.
You have some experience in this field Fenixpunk.
Is my statement wrong?

trying to define punk....*checks dictionary* http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=punk

hmmm very....helpful....anyone can say anything they like on the matter, you dont have to accept it, nor do they have to accept your opinions, im not even gonna begin to try and define punk, especially seen as the word already has so many definitions....like Chinese incense lol

i guess if you are punk, you arent gonna care when someone tells you you arent....
