I'm not one to judge. I wouldn't pick it for a top 1000, but at least the album is energetic, fun and catchy.

In the usual desert island scenario, I'd pick Dookie over Trout Mask Replica any time.
Then I would spend the rest of my island life wondering if I'd eventually have felt good about the decision if I'd picked TMR instead.

You'll have the head smack moment with TMR eventually, I'm sure. Even TH came around a little.

All kidding aside, I don't really hate Green Day. There are a handful of songs I like such as Wake Me When September Ends and Basket Case. Basically, though, you can put the best of Green Day on one album and pretty much discard the rest.

You probably wouldn't get a full album.
