Meh, I'd consider them more of a gimick than a band. They continue to put out the same material, with the same sound, and have never grown or evolved musically, lyrically or stylistically since they started out. They were fun to listen to when I was 12 or 13, but the novelty wore off VERY quickly. The only thing they provide for me right now is a certain sense of nostalgia that reminds me off the little junior high dances thrown in our school's gym.

or The Kids Aren't Alright? If you don't like that song or its message than I feel for you. I really do.

^ My mom actually liked that song when it came out. Just thought I'd add that randomly.

I used to like Smash, songs like Bad Habit and Genocide remind me of "the good ole days".

actually quite a few times, but maybe that's cause my school was poor and got the students to dj....but I stand by my point. They're entire career has been nothing but repeats, be it lyrically, musically, or stylistically. Where other bands have gone ahead, progressed and evolved, they've stayed in a rut, churning out the exact same music as they always have been, with little to no effort put into evolving or changing their sound, or even building or expanding upon the things they've already done.

They haven't sold out, they’re just mediocre. They’re nice enough to listen to though, upbeat, and you now what you’re getting, because everything they do is the same. At least their consistent I suppose. I do like 'em though, theirs a place in the world for a band like the offspring. I couldn't tell you the last time I put one of their albums on though......
