For me Nas and Immortal Technique tie. I voted Nas just because he has been getting heavy play lately.

um..
You guys could choose more than one vote. As in you could for multiple rappers.

And for the dipstick by the name of ryder, why don't you make your own poll and then complain about mine. So shut up and shove it.

I will admit that Ms. Jackie O is not the bets rapper. But I've been to some places where Ms. Jackie O is practically worshipped. Apparently this forum isn't one of those places. At any rate my fav song by her is probably Suga Walls just because.

And I put some serious thought into it and I finally came up with Nas. Nas isn't like evry generic wanna be rapper about there today. He doen't rap about sex, and drugs. There aren't half naked chicks in his videos and he's sending a message to people.
People always complain about rap being some sorta dirty genre because of the nature of the lyrics in some of today's more popular and mainstream songs, and they complain about how it's degrading to women, but Nas changes all that becuase he talks about all the other stuff that people are either too ignorant to know enough to complain about or because they choose to continue hurting their ears by blasting crap like 50 cent and garbage like Chingy.
I like Dead Prez a lot but he's far from the best in my opinion. he talks in terms of revolution and beating the system, and standing up against the figurative "Man" and the systemt hat holds people down, which is all fine and dandy but sometimes the beats and the rhymes just suck. There are some songs that just make me wanna scream.
And then there's DMX. Now DMX is good, it's original and it's good stuff. but he started to lose me when he said Dog over and over again. I'm sorry. I've said this before and I've said it again, you can only say dog but so many times before it becomes illegal. And hten his songs became a tad bit more mainstream and lost a little bit of his quality. but it's stilll good, I just prefer his odler stuff more. One of my fvaorite albums Flesh of My Flesh Blood of My Blood. But his work on the Cradle to the Grave album was nice. Brought us back to the good old days when he was still one of the best out there.
Another one of my all time favorites is Big Pun. His stuff is just classic. This is the kinda stuff you can play at a Bat Mitzvah or something. It's pure, it's clean, it's music to just chill to.
I htink my favorite rap song ever is Renee by the Lost Boyz. This song is being played at my wedding. That's how good this song is.
(The playlist for my wedding is at least 200 songs long and getting longer)

Peace

Did i say your poll sucked dipstick. I like the majority of your choices. I never even said she sucked. I was just making my opinion that she shouldnt be on here. By the way i voted for Nas also dipstick. What no one can have a opinion no more. That wasnt even a hateful comment. I think your being too sensitive and overreacting.

Pac and Nas are tied for me. They are lyrically different and similar in many aspects. I think Pac had a very good delivery, not to mention SO MANY classic songs. Nas is like a poet, that has so much versatility and savvy.

I ended up voted for Wu Tang though, only b/c they are my favorite hip hop group of all time. Raekwon is a professional...and listening to Gza and Ghostface...sometimes I just have no idea what they are talking about...those crazy shaolin ninjas....
, that just got me rollin

hookers with machineguns, your taste in hip-hop is boring, predictable and downright offensive to anyone who knows anything about hip-hop. Lil kim shouldnt be anywhere near that list.
