sure it does. whats wrong with a catchy song? what keeps you listening to it if it isn't catchy at all? just the technical rap skill? the lyrics? something about the song has to make you go back and play it again after you hear it for the first time.

Theres nothing wrong with a catchy song, we all love catchy songs. But great hip hop doesnt insist on having a hook.
