If you are Talib's best album is Quality.
I agree Nas is a superstar and he garners a lot of respect but not enough imo. I definitely agree with mos def being super famous but he's still not respected enough in the hip hop community for his superior lyrical skills.
Quality is Kweli's worst album his best is by far Reflection Eternal. The beautiful struggle was good but Reflection Eternal is a great album.

Quality>The Beautiful Struggle.

Tracks on Quality are classic: Guerrilla Monsoon Rap, Good To You, Get By, Put It In The Air, Rush, Shock Body...

There's a couple of good tracks on The Beautiful Struggle, including Never Been In Love, Around My Way, and Ghetto Show, but most are a laughable stab at the mainstream sound.

I'll agree that Reflection Eternal is his best work, but Quality is definitely not his worst album.

On second thought you are probably right there were some songs on The Beautiful Struggle that I really disliked. Broken Glass, Work It Out, and We Got the Beat were just bad in my opinion.

Good thread, though I felt that some of the artists that were listed as underrated aren't underrated at all, some of these cats were/are superstars lol...anyway, to name someone new (at least I didn't see him when I looked), I think Baby Boy Da Prince is underrated. People sorta blew him off after the "This Is The Way I Live" single, but his album, Across The Water, is actually pretty solid from top to bottom. Dude's got a solid delivery, and his lyrics are pretty cool too IMO. Just thought I'd name a newer artist who hadn't been named yet...
