HillTop Hoods

TheDonald 01-06-2008 12:28 PM

I would put Eminem as the best MC, followed by Eyedea. While they are the best MC's, I don't believe that they are they best rappers of all time. My vote goes to El P, followed closely by Aesop Rock. Both have deep, though provoking lyrics and unstoppable flow. El P takes the vote because he's been the heart and soul of the underground for over a decade, then starting his own label. His style is unique to almost any rapper I've heard in my life, major props El-P.

Your poll may not have happened as there is a time limit to post? Give me five minutes and will sort out a poll for you.

jackhammer 01-06-2008 01:19 PM

Done.

A good few of those I have'nt heard. It's a toss up between Beastie boys and Sage. I go for Sage.

TheDonald 01-06-2008 02:38 PM

Thanks for the help on the poll. Sage is a good choice, but he seems kind of like a poor man's Aesop Rock for my taste.

lucylamppost 01-06-2008 04:18 PM

you need to put hilltop hoods up on this bitch (poll)

the-ceej 01-06-2008 05:35 PM

Sage

Bane of your existence 01-07-2008 01:59 AM

He's cool if you're into punk rock. Funny lyrics, ****ty beats, nothing real to say.

True, Jedi Mind Tricks (atleast their earlier work) was superb.

+1

Miltamec Soundsquinaez 04-26-2008 10:51 PM

I'm not sure what's so good about this Aesop Rock guy,
and Atmosphere didn't make your list? wtf

ProggyMan 04-26-2008 11:02 PM

Ian Bavitz>>>Slug lol. Blockhead is vastly superior to Ant as a producer. No question God Loves Ugly is a masterpiece but other than that they're mostly mediocre.

Laces Out Dan! 04-26-2008 11:10 PM

Atmosphere is awesome. As is Aesop..they're bothing doing something new and I like both a lot.

ProggyMan 04-26-2008 11:20 PM

Eh, haven't liked anything since Seven Travels, which was just good.

SATCHMO 04-27-2008 12:47 AM

I don't see anything great about Slug. He's thought provoking, but the way he flows is quite, well, cheesy. I feel the same about Sage. Not popular opinions, but alas their my own.

Laces Out Dan! 04-27-2008 06:07 PM

Im not huge on Sage either. I do like Slug though.

Sparky 04-27-2008 07:15 PM

My brother used to be friends with Slug.
I find him annoying though, slug that is. I have nothing against his music, i haven't cared enough to listen to alot of it.
