I still laugh every time i read you talking about sage francis :D

It's not that Lil Wayne is horrible, he's not. He gets good producers and knows how to surround himself with talent.

Its just that he's not very good either. He's a great performer, has great qualities on stage, but whenever somebody says anything about his lyrics being good is when i get not only frustrated, but honestly confused.

You know with wayne, it aint really that his lyrics are poetic or something, but its that he goes hard on the beat and alot of his metaphors are pretty dope. i mean he aint winning any artsy awards or nothing, but to me and alot of other people it dont really matter.

Lil Wayne can write some god awful lyrics (usually to his more god awful songs) but how can you say lyrics like I Feel Like Dying are awful? It's one of the most perfect hip hop songs ever.

My main problem with his lyrics is the lack of coherence, I wish he would do more **** like Tie My Hands (Even though I didn't like it very much).

@sleepy jack

I've only heard Lollipop, which I didn't really like that much, but I've heard so much about how good Lil Wayne is that I want to give him a shot. Which album should I try first?
