I've only heard Lollipop, which I didn't really like that much, but I've heard so much about how good Lil Wayne is that I want to give him a shot. Which album should I try first?

Carter 2 and 3, the Drought Series, and the Dedication Series. He's got all kinds of mixtapes out there, just look for em. Those are supposed to be some of his best.

On the topic of his lyrics, I think he does a good job with writing. He's got a good vocabulary in his lyrics. I think the only main flaw with his songs are the subjects. They're just about always the same.

Anyone heard his new mixtape?
I really like it, his song bashing 50 is kind of a miss though lyrically.

Louisianimal?
I've heard of the track.

FaSho 12-05-2008 08:03 PM

That's the one.
I've actually only heard a few tracks off the mixtape, but what i've heard is better then Carter III for sure.

Talkin about the Drought is Over 6? Nah. I'm trying to get his mixtapes for Christmas though. I think his mixtapes would be better because he can be more raw on em. Am I correct?

Pretty much, they're just better in most ways and more consistent.

Surell 12-06-2008 09:45 PM

I know a lot of hot tracks come off of his mixtapes, like Georgia Bush and I'm Blooded.
