Oh I know he has talent, but you have to have drive.

Its like.. the highest IQ on record is 221, its held by some woman who writes a small column for a paper no ones ever heard of. He has incredible potential but he doesnt use that potential. The time inbetween "The Way I Am" and "Lose Yourself" we saw some of his talent trickle through, but then he release crap like "My Band" and its a total understatement to him.

i dont think nas fell off too hard...i liked gods son, and i liked lost tapes a lot. And his new sh*t that has come out recently (star wars, on the real, and theifs theme). Back when he dropped nastradamus is the only time that he had fallen off to me. He has been commin back steady after that.

As for Rakim. You can't doubt his importance to hip hop. And i cant see why your not immpressed with him latley. Is it becasue he hasn't dropped sence 98'.? or did you see him in that stupid good teeth video, or did you not like him in that cut that was on the 8 mile soundtrack, or on the watcher 2. Any way you look at it, as soon as he dropps his next album called "Oh My God" you'll be sayin OH MY GOD, rakim is still god. peace

^^^I dont think that that video makes him a sell-out. He has always been known to love money, look at the cover of his first album (paid in full). And if he hasn't been paying his child support bills (which i haven't heard anything about), then hes probably doing anything he can to make some cash. Lets just hope he doesn't rush "Oh My God" into production, to make some extra money, because i have been waiting for some new Rakim for a loong time.
