The thing about a top 100 is, nobody is going to agree. It's subjective. Honestly, a lot of them would be on my list too... but a lot wouldn't as well. I'd personally rate it a 6 or 7 based on my tastes.

chloe 02-18-2009 07:43 AM

i disagree on rap im not a loveof rap but i do ocasionly listen to some rap

simplephysics 02-18-2009 07:57 AM

I agree with maybe 30% of your list.

TheBig3 02-18-2009 11:44 AM

#89 saved you.

You taste is certainly remote, but in that regard its a good taste.

Meph1986 02-18-2009 12:38 PM

Pretty good list. Several songs can do without.

Kirby 02-18-2009 02:51 PM

Some of them are great, and I disagree with a lot, at the same time.

FaSho 02-18-2009 02:58 PM

Mos tof those are teh suck, but there a definatley a few gems ya got there.

poloboy23 02-18-2009 03:33 PM

Do you guys have any suggestions? Im looking to expand it to 200

Kirby 02-18-2009 06:48 PM

The list to end all lists

crash_override 02-21-2009 06:41 PM

no NY State of Mind - NAS?

thats sort of odd.

And I think 'Ambitions of a Ridah' - Tupac is his best. Changes is good but but the whole some is sampled.

If you like Zeppelin you'd probably like Diddy too. He also steals his music, give it a try.

There's so many things I could say to this but mama always said leave the stupid people to their own devices.

Fuckin wanker.

FaSho 04-18-2009 07:32 PM

You're the wanker, If anyone is!
(guess the referance for 1000 cool points)

Well I looked it up, it's a song by Say Anything. I'm sure the points don't count but I am no wanker sir, for YOU are the wanker.

FaSho 04-18-2009 08:22 PM

I also would've except the chrismas episode of The Office(UK) which Say anything got the line from I believe.
Anyway led zep is almost as big of a wanker as you actually, and that means a lot.

Surell 04-18-2009 09:07 PM

I haven't seen the British Office yet, and it may be, but I don't listen to Say Anything so I'm not sure.

Also, I'm no wanker you twat. And that's from the bottom of my heart.

Rap

I've always hated these long good-bye poems
If i saw the face of death, it's cause i kissed her with my eyes open
Lipstick on my closed funeral casket
Asking "what for" like a roman numeral math quiz
It's enigmatic, the way a soul can hang-glide
In a world of diamonds but remain a pearl like Shanghai
I aim jewels at the heads of angels
To examine when the gold in their halos became Fool's
They played pool with my options for eternity
But missed the cue and chose purgatory out courtesy
I was seduced to slumber by Serendipity's lips
And tied to a swan feather like a rotisserie spit
Heaven's on earth and I'm glad that I caught a glimpse
Before they lured me to a sea of slaughtered men with water nymphs
And it's torturing to think it's like this where the light ends
Reminds me of America the way it's run by white men

I'm tiptoeing this tempered katana edge
When I take the time to wonder what's under the monster's bed
These perverts play with feelings while they work nerves
And a piece of me is murdered everytime I say a curse word?
Their land of milk and honey doesn't seem fake
Cause they know you couldn't paint it in your wildest dream-scape
But on the otherside, we can hear our mother's cry
And linger on the muffled highs of their final lullabies
Your soul is scented by a potpourri of lotus leaves
They float the breeze and grow beneath the rosewood trees
It's poetry, no, it's closer to a finger painting
From the simpler days when everything
Was crayon-wax and pencil shavings
I'm integrating 8 millimeter memories
With letters in lipstick that ended with "Remember Me"
Blanketed in purity, security's tight wrap
If this is forever, fuck that, i want my life back

If i was death, if I was life, if was pain, if i was strife
if I was man, if i was god, would you walk toward the light?

Parkway Drive lyrics

Lyrics to Boneyards :
Take all the sentiments
Let it go when I sing it
So re-name me when I say
I would love nothing more
Then for everything
To end in misery
concrete selves every time ... i couldn't survive
Don't say I didn't warn you
I would rather see your face in hell
than speak another word of this perfect world
I would rather see your face in hell
than speak another word of this perfect world
oh
of this perfect world
oh to be buried
Beneath the waves
i said i'd scream before i cried
bury me, bury me
5000 fathams deep
I break my bones for the depths
The sharpest teeth await the skin
the sharpest teeth await but once more ...
Go
The devils teeth, the devils teeth beneath your skin
wish away your silent vengeance
or just remain a pain
Now every breathe of life has been betrayed
every light down has blasted through
nothing we love inside us
feed us to the sharks
so love nothing with me
feed us to the sea
To be buried
Beneath the waves
i said id scream before i cried
bury me, bury me
5000 fathams deep
I break my bones for the depths
There's blood in the water
Sinking, always sinking
There's blood in the water
I would rather see your face in hell
Then speak another word of this perfect ****ing world

Way to be close-minded.

Darkest Hour 04-18-2009 10:40 PM

parkways are better, and they show more emotion in their songs as well.

" Cry me a f'cking river, bitch. " Best line ever

How existential.

Cry me a river is a Justin Timberlake song. Parkway Drive is obviously full of biters.

rap is very lame. Nothing worst than repeated lame choruses and beats. At least metal has song structure.

I want a link of a decent rap song that can be called great. Cuz i've never heard one.

I just gave you one. Surrell linked you ten more. You're an idiot. Put a shirt on.

Metal has lame choruses. And how about you try making a good beat? Go ahead, get the software up, get used to the drum machine, find a song sample that fits in nicely, go ahead. I'll be waiting patiently.

Plus, POS. Look it up.
