Detroit guy, has done a lot of work with fellow Detroit producer/artist Black Milk. Guy is a genius. He's currently re-doing all of Nas's Illmatic on his own version called Elmatic. Not sure what to think since he's messing with a classic, but I think he can pull it off.

Ha, na Thrice sent me the link earlier today when I was studying and figured I'd give it a run. Went away for a little while after me and the new admin didn't get along too well, but that's a whole other subject.

Yeah, I was never a huge slum village fan, but my boy turned me on to the Preface and now I can't stop listening...the only downside is all the guest artists - none of them can keep up with el...

Get your hands on Europass if you don't have it. It's incredible for a mixtape...basically an album.

And Slum Village wise you have to remember El joined late...they've got some good stuff on Detroit Deli.

Elzhi - 'Elmatic'

If I had a serious think about it, this would probably be in my Top 10 albums of the year. Loved every second of it. I would put it above Illmatic and that is a massive compliment.

Is there as way of adding a poll to this? Elmatic vs Illmatic

Been listening to Elmatic a lot lately, great stuff.

Seems like DJ Premier is impressed by Will Sessions accuracy.
