totally agree dj. i dunno if its just ppl on this site or what but when manycant was sayin how terrible he was in the kendrick thread it was just blowing my mind that someone could have that belief. and im far from a fanboy, i hated relapse and encore and thought the eminem show was below average.

cant decide if im crazy or what but recovery was an awesome album. somehow ppl will complain eminem keeps rehashing the same subjects and then ppl will complain about how he changed too much from the sslp and mmlp days. whatever, that album is great.

em always got a few lines i think are so clever like the line about g-unit lol.

hook wasnt as bad as i was expecting and i think hooks have always been ems biggest flaw in his songs

for some reason i was listening to that song and i can already see the chorus bein on commercials or most likely promos for reality shows and stuff. just wait, mark my words im good at pickin that stuff out it seems

Interesting that it's a sequel to an album that was actually very good so hopefully that's an indication that the sound will be a bit harder but to be honest his recent stuff has been pretty corny so I'm expecting more of the same on this.

If he stops making pop full time and puts out a Hip-Hop record this could potentially be quite good.

i was so shocked when i saw the news. from promo videos ive watched i think he dyed his hair blonde again and is gonna try to go back to his old style which in all honestly has been romanticized over time by most people but is still good.

ive heard snippets and sounds like there a lot of rock samples, so maybe it will be an intereting sound. either way this album could really put eminem on another stratosphere if it is really good considering.....

1) already extensive catalogue and reputation/status among hip hop culture
2) its named after MMLP which many view as a classic album and there will be huge expectations for mmlp2



lately his album names have usualyl coincided with the songs. ex- relapse about being crazy/drugs. so maybe he is making a concerted effort to sounds like he did back on mmlp

I think it'll be a sub-par album with one or two tracks of old Eminem on there, the type where his Stans jizz themselves and point to him being the greatest ever. Production will be boring (going by what I've already heard) and I expect a couple features from shit artists like he did on Recovery with Rihanna and Pink.

Content wise, not sure. You're right about MMLP not being a classic but being viewed as one too.

Tbh I want him to work with some serious producers and stop making his own beats and getting everything done by Dre.

If he'd have made an album with producers who are the cutting edge of the genre, when he was at his peak, then I think he would have had a classic, but he didn't.

And if he's going to send for anyone it should be serious rappers, not Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears.

of course u think it will be a sub par album, it doesnt matter what he comes out with you are gonna say it sucks cause you are an eminem hater. em might sound poppier than he did 10+ years ago but again u just want to deny hes a good rapper. i dunno what issues they have but they just make no sense to me. i feel like u are goin to dismiss any work he does as crap. so why dont u post right now exactly what you are lookin for and i will bookmark this page and november im gonna come back here

he probably will have a song or two with a female pop singer tho. i hated spacebound and wasnt a big fan of love teh way you lie.
