A Tribe called Quest - Perhaps the most consistently amazing rap duo I can think of.

Atmosphere - I like almost all of their stuff, but the first album, Overcast, is the reason Slug exists on my list. It is a unique treasure, differing immensly from every other slug album. The lyrical word play is unmatched.

Edan - Edan is a god. His word play equates to a mastery over syllable rhyme utility. He also has amazing delivery and very clever beats/subject matters.

Cyne - Cyne is pretty spectacular. Though it is often hard to understand what they are saying, they are a unique act with pretty rad rhymes.

(Just emerging with very aggresive lyrics and a very good blend of a variety of talented young rappers)

(Love the lyrics which are often delivered in a really chill fashion. Most prefer Black on Both Sides but I'm a greater fan of The Ecstatic)

(He's never topped Illmatic but he revolutionised the genre. Nuff said)
5-Wu Tang Clan
(39 Chambers. That. Is. All)
6-Lupe Fiasco
(Discovered him on a Madden game but he's got great flow to his lyrics and is a new favourite of mine)
7-Rakim
(Love his work with Eric B but he's got such a chill style)
8-Eminem
(He's got weaker since Curtain Call but he opened my eyes to the genre which was a gateway to genius)
9-Cypress Hill
(Oooh boy do I love to sing along to their songs. Really angry but really good)
10-Beastie Boys
(Created some true classics and everyone knows about them)

I think Stillmatic is the best NaS album after repeated listens. OFWGKTA don't deserve to be on anyone's list to be honest.

I always put Illmatic and It Was Written ahead of Stillmatic. His debut is probably in the top 5 hip hop albums of all time.

Definitely. Every song on Illmatic is ****ing incredible. It is incredibly raw and represents that early 90s new york style hip hop, extremely well. His later stuff sounds more like the crappy, commercial hip hop style that would go on to rule the mainstream hip hop scene for quite some time.
