El-P and the Definitive Jux label operate out of NYC. Though I'm not all that familiar with their pool of talent.

Most good rap is coming from the south.

when the East vs West feud was going on.

Outkast, UGK, ESG, and the Gheto Boyz were starting a revolution.

Def Jux shut down, which is why all these artists are going through rhymesayers and pumping out blander bull****

Dalek is from New Jersey. Edan is from Baltimore. MF Doom is from New York. The Shape of Broad Minds is from Philly.

I think you're confusing me with someone else. I'm pretty sure I've never even heard Yelawolf.

Disagree big time. A lot of hip hop is coming from the South... but I wouldn't call it good. You want to get on the radio in Houston? Follow these guidelines:

1. Get a big, here-comes-trouble style beat with elephant fart synths and UFO soundfx.
2. Repeat a stupid line for 16 bars. "Shawty needsa thug / Sh-shawty needsa thug / Shawty needsa thug / Sh-shawty needsa thug".
3. Rap about something stupid.

Congratulations on your new hit single.
