wow...whoever posted this poll clearly hates rap music...

Nas - quality lyrics and quality messages. I personally don't like him, but saying that he sucks is like saying that Eric clapton is a bad artist...you just can't say that because of what he has done for the rap and hip-hop community.

Jay-Z - same argument as Nas.

Tupac - has no business up on this list. Tupac is the father of rap. Unless you guys actually hate rap, this list is retarded.

Ludacris - have you actually bothered to listen to his lyrics? His flows will crush you like his wallet.

Chingy and J-Kwon are the only two worthy of being on this list only because they have absolutely no talent.

PhilCollinsFan, I have only just discovered these forums, but you seem to have all the virtues I dislike, and none of the vices I admire. Please refrain from opening your mouth and subtracting from the sum of human knowledge. Thank you very much.

That was unneccesary. He's long gone. Not to mention that Ludacris is a horrible lyricist with an average flow, and call 2pac the father of rap is ridiculous.

who do you consider good rappers? i'm honestly curious. I mean, there is a whole underground world, but I don't follow that too closely. If you have good rappers that you would like to tell me about, I'm open to looking into them.

If your not as interested in the underground scene (which i can understand) there's still more good mainstream rap artists then people like to give credit for.

Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Pharoahe Monch, Ghostface, Public Enemy, Wu Tang Clan
