tbh the only aesop album i've ever really listened to is labor days and it has some ok songs on it. he's more of a poet than anything else to me. he says some insightful things but a lot of the time his style is awkward and corny.
doom has some clever **** but also a lot of filler that seems forced and not that interesting to me. there are a few albums like madvillain and the first viktor vaughn that have some ok songs but overall not really something i want to listen to a lot. so really i'd say neither one really catches my attention all that much but if i had to choose i'd give the edge to doom. |

in terms of who i'd rather listen to carter 2 era wayne vs aesop? no question about it. but wayne does have a lot of ****ty material too i won't lie and i haven't checked for anything he has put out in the longest. |
I was just joking with justthefacts because he called Aesop obsolete, and I prefer Aesop to Doom, and definitely over lil wayne!
I'll admit Aesop's early work is kind of hard to swallow, but his last 2 albums have been amazing, in all aspects. |
We could debate all day about this, but I'm pretty sure the majority can agree ALL CAPS.

Garbage. Not my kind of rap, I'm all about 90s and the underground. I don't mind it at bars/clubs though cuz the beats are good.
|
i don't get that. maybe cause i lived in south florida and now am in north carolina... saying wayne is garbage is like going to new york and saying nas is garbage. maybe not your style but he can spit some ****. what have you heard by him?
|
Sure he can rap, but his lyrics are garbage.. I like lyrics that are intelligent and clever. Those are qualities he doesn't possess as a human being.
Mainstream rappers these days write like 4 bar verses with a pop chorus, they hardly give themselves time to even develop the flow before the verse is over. |
