If Eminem's got bad flow and delivery, I'd like to know what it says about Jay-Z when he's the slower of the two.

Personally I don't think the vocals matter that much :yikes:. If Jay-Z's music (as in production/beats) was good, it'd be different:rofl:. , and while everyone talks about how Eminem is always rapping about his mom, Jay-Z only really raps about himself.

You're hating too hard, stop it. None of that is remotely credible

FTD is right though. Jay-Z sucks incredibly hard. I've never found anything appealing about him at all.

I hate when people refer to an artist as though they "suck". It's the most limited and unintelligent way of telling someone you dislike them with absolutely no input why.

lol. I actually did give "input why" though: there is literally nothing I find enjoyable about his music.

Jay-Z is easy to listen to for the casual fan who isn't really that into Hip-Hop because of the production and the hooks.

JAY-Z - Izzo (H.O.V.A.) - YouTube

Jay-Z is insecure as fhuck, this next song is :o:

Jay-Z - December 4th (Official Music Video) - YouTube

Corny as fhuck.

That's the thing though, I find his production incredibly dull and his hooks to be nonexistent. I'm utterly mystified by his popularity and by the idea that he'd be easy to listen to for anyone.

Matter of taste I guess but those tracks I posted, you can easily see why they appeal imo.

I was a Jay-Z fan, when I was about 12, because of tracks like the first one. It's like Hip-Hop for school children.

holy ****, to you getting lost on your own comments

I'll revert to my previous comment "pardon my laughing I happen to think your sweet"

Lol.

Not very smart, are we?

Let me break this down step by step.

1. You say "pardon i happen to think you sweet", which literally makes no sense in English.

2. I ask you to rephrase in English.

3. You rephrase.

4. I understand, but don't understand why you think I'm sweet.

5. I don't speak English????

 "pardon trollin happen to try and make you react in return"

I really can't, that's what I'm saying.

I was in my early twenties when I first heard him, maybe that's why I couldn't get into the whole hip hop for school children aspect. My introduction was "Hard Knock Life", which they used to play a lot on the radio station my boss listened to. I thought it was just kind of annoying. Many years went by and I was surprised to discover that this guy who I thought of as a one hit wonder had become sort of... well regarded. So I checked out The Grey Album because it sounded interesting. Problem was it kind of forgettable. Thinking I should give him a chance with a legitimate album, I then got Reasonable Doubt, which also turned out to be completely forgettable, and frankly, so dull it was hard to sit through all the way. A few years later I checked out The Blueprint, and had the same test-of-patience experience as Reasonable Doubt. Since then, my exposure to his music has consisted of watching YouTube videos of his songs that have been posted here on MB, not a single one of which I've found catchy or memorable in any way. Which brings us to my current situation of being totally perplexed by the fact that so many people seem to enjoy his music.
