Well, I'm at a loss when it comes to finding anything redeeming about Kanye. The guy just begs people to hate him with his "I'm so good at what I do, I am God, I am the best there is, kiss my shoes" type attitude.

Vanilla Ice could freestyle Kayne off the stage. And sad thing is, Vanilla Ice isn't that good either.

What I do know though is that there's a massive drop-off after Kendrick Lamar, Madvillainy, and Nujabes for me. Never really heard any other hip hop that comes close to those artists/albums.
I don't really dig around in the mainstream hip hop area besides for 90s stuff like Public Enemy or Wu Tang. I mostly listen to underground stuff and there are several artists I like better than Kendrick or Nujabes (haven't listened to much of his stuff, but I do think he's good). Kendrick's got some good tunes and albums but he's pretty low on my all time favourites list.

lol, well the only song I ever heard is Ice Ice Baby. So, can't say I am die hard at all. The song is fun to play at a party, about it though.

No I'd just imagine he's saying Public Enemy and Wu aren't extremely mainstream in terms of 90s Hip-Hop. For that I'd lean towards Tupac and Biggie more than anything.
