I honestly don’t hear it. Plus, Eminem raps circles around him if that’s relevant.

I don't understand the clarification. He had good dances that went with his music, yes. This still isn't a comment on his influence the actual music. In reality, he was massively influential in the pop world yet the hip hop world largely passed him by, as there were more interesting things happening in the genre at the time.

The clarification is the way he used dance music like funk wasn't the same as what other rappers were doing.

The way he did it was a huge influence on the style and sound of pop-rap at the time. Like Vanilla Ice. Who also coincidentally reinvented himself in the legacy of ICP.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

It's a piece but songs like **** The World and the whole Thug Life attitude definitely helped mold Eminem as an artist.

He's obviously more influenced by freestyle culture and rappers like Esham, but there's some Pac in there. It's actually probably hard to find a rapper that doesn't have at least a little bit of Pac.

Yeh vanilla ice is not respected at all in hip hop. Even more than Hammer, he's seen as a pop oriented vulture that exploited the rising trend of hip hop to be a pop icon

No, people came around on Hammer.

On Ice, you're completely right. You forget that he's also a 1 hit wonder.

Unfortunately Vanilla Ice is also a legend. Maybe a pioneer of what we call today 'meme rap'. Maybe you can credit that to Hammer too, actually.

Edit: Nope, peggy calls himself 2Pac in a song so he at least has a sliver of Pac in there.
