The fact that gnr only had two great albums in the 90s and that they were the biggest band shows how big they really were. No one could touch them in the early 90s.

Like I said gnr were bigger from the time frame of 90-93 then any band on that list was from the whole decade. Just because gnr broke up in 93 still does not mean they cannot be the biggest band of the 90s. Also Cobain offed himself in 1994 just one year after gnr broke up. So using that logic how can nirvana even be on the list since they were just around from 91-94? Its still a four year time frame for both bands.
And Nevermind and In Utero are not great?, are you kidding me?, Nevermind was one of the best selling albums of the 90s, and its impact and influence is still present today, can't say the same for UYI I and II, those albums are great, just not as great as Nevermind and In Utero, if this was the 80s we are talking about, then i would agree with you, GnR were greater than Nirvana during that era, AFD was miles better than Bleach, but in the 90s it was Nirvana, so what if Nirvana broke up in 94?, GnR might as well have, they haven't made a good studio album since the UYI albums, Spegetti Incident was mediocre at best and everything they have done since sucked ass, their live shows with buckethead were horrible, and we are still waiting for Chinese Democracy to come out, which will probably be in the year 3000 when Chinese Democracy has long since become a reality, and without any of the original GnR members involved except Axl, i seriously doubt it will live up to the hype.

I voted Nirvana because they had the luck, image, and style that was grunge at the time.

As Doherty says, "You gotta have the luck, you gotta have the look."
(Even if he's on a whole bunch of drugs, it's true)

Smashing Pumpkins is second because of their avant-garde.

I have already proven that gnr were bigger than nirvana in the 90s. Gnr sold more albums and they sold out bigger shows, it’s that simple. The only thing that nevermind and inutero did was show kids that could not sing nor play guitar could have a hit album. Nirvana set back music to this day.

As for TSI that album was just a fun album the band did to cover songs that influenced them. As for their live shows with BH were awful that is just your opinion and most people would disagree. Since most of the shows got great reviews and the people that went to them most liked the show save the people that cannot deal with slash quitting the band. Most reviews even the loder review said if you closed your eyes you wouldnt even know it was a different version of guns n roses playing up there.

The new gnr songs like IRS and madagascar are by far better than anything on the radio right now.

I hope he`ll come out on stage to find he`s performing to one rather bored looking guy & his dog

If it wasn't for Slash, GnR would have been in the exact same boat. And big isn't better. Just-right tits rock so much more than huge ones do.

Thats the most ignorant thing i have ever heard, Nirvana were decent at their instruments, they never set out to be the next Mahavishnu Orchestra or anything like that, they just wanted to make good music that didnt have to be complex or very technical...Nirvana are much more influencial than GnR, more bands have imitated them and more bands have been inspired by them, Nirvana made Alternative Rock more popular and acceptible than it ever was when hair metal was still around, which is why Nirvana are so important, and why they are greater than GnR.

And saying all modern music sucks is a great sign of ignorance.

Nirvana better than GnR? I suppose it's your opinion...

GnR are infinately better then Nirvana I think. But then again I never saw what all the fuss was about with Nirvana.
