I am actually, at this exact moment in time...peering through your window... staring at the back of your head... I have a knife.

I'm not sure yet, I think it's at least equally good. I totally went nuts when I first heard the demos, same reaction I'm having right now so...It does however feel more powerful somehow, their playing is tighter, better, more focused....

You know, I was thinking today, I listen to a lot of music, but there are very few bands/albums that I get completely addicted to (you know an album is good when you've got not one song, but the entire album stuck in your head for days, just playing incessantly in the background, keeping you up at night, driving you insane...but in a good way). The Monkeys are definitely one of those few gems...along with Franz and Coldplay my favorite British band...

I was reading a review in a Croatian newspaper today and totally resented the comment that this album is more difficult to get into and doesn't really have those brilliant singles the debut had. I can name at least 6 songs that could top the charts.

Btw, did anyone check out the vid for Brianstorm?Lolz...

Also, they look spectacular on the cover of Mojo...

It's definitely a strong second album and as far as I'm concerned this album just confirms Turner's lyrical writing ability.
Best of his kind since Weller.

Definitely one of my favorite bands I can't wait to sit down and listen to the new album. The funny thing is the old album still hasn't gone stale- it's just as exciting as the first time I listened to it and I can already tell from hearing a few songs that I'm gonna love this one too.
