I'm with adidasss on this...why on earth would a group of lads from Yorkshire deliberately set about forming a band and exaggerate their regional accent for the sole purpose of appealing to a small elitist group of people in a foreign country?!
I don't doubt your word that they are popular with that particular set, but to suggest it's the reason for their style is ridiculous.

This isn't the first time you've passed off your Don-esque (sly flaming) opinion as fact, at the expense of another member.

Think before you post.

i'm not saying my tastes are better than anyone else's, that's impossible, make this a reply to all the other posts too, the band just seems cheesy to me and most of the fans i've talked to seem even worse. especially here, people love hearing really heavy english accents when coupled with songs about 'birds' and dancefloors.

nor would i say that they use FAKE accents, that's retarded. some brits sound less british when they sing, others sound very much so. and it seems to me that many young north americans lean towards the heavy accents, in my experience that's been the case. that's not debatable so don't bother.

and why am i being told to drop the attitude when ppl rip on me with just the same b.s. attitude, but because their opinion is favoring the masses they slip through the cracks? wtf

I don't think anyone will or has. I've not seen anyone debate that point.
Saying it's a deliberate ploy is what's causing the fuss.

I really don't think it's your opinion that's pissing people off.
2 pages back I asked you and another member to keep it civil.
I also pm'd you, as well as others, prior to your recent posts. Since then your attitude has changed little.

So I'll ask nicely...again.
And this goes for other members too. Keep it civil.

I totally love these guys! They have an amazing sound, and some cool lyrics to go along. Can't wait for their new album, I'm hoping they have it released by next year!!

Arctic Monkeys are really good you can connect their sound to the Libertines. I tried to get my friends into them but they say Alex sings weird
