I do not like them.

I respect what they did for music, but I don't like it.

I used to be obsessed with them. I still like 'em - I just don't listen to them as often. I'll occasionally throw one of their older albums in the CD player once in a while though. Good stuff, if you're in the right mood.

When I saw them jsut acouple years back, Tom spent more time primping his hair between songs, speaking of which, long pauses between the songs..
And I'm only so-so to Deicide, who opened, but thought they were quite decent.

I still love Slayer but prefer Show no Mercy/Reign in Blood/Hell Awaits as personal fave albums.

Speaking of Deicide, damn, that Serpents of the Light is a kick ass album. I was just trying 'em out, since they were highly recommended to me.

As for Slayer, they are listenable, but just 'meh'. Not a fan, but I do respect them though.

I like War Ensemble and Born of the Fire, from their Seasons in the Abyss Album.
It's one of my favorites.

Antichrist
Angel of Death

Slayer is ****in' oldskool pissed off metal. I don't think anyone writes such pissed off lyrics. It's the epitome of nihilism and I can't get enough of it. Tom Araya is one guy i definetly wouldn't cross.

As far as live perfomances go...they just get up there and rock the **** out. They don't talk much or tell stories, they just get right to the point. Then Tom Araya softly mumbles something like "thanks" before leading into raining blood. It makes me chuckle.
