Look I think Flea is great, but I think Cliff is massivly under appreciated.

By some yes, a lot of Metallica fans and metalheads can overrate him however, especially on some metal and bass forums.

Some have called him the greatest bass player who ever lived, which from how i look at it, is totally inaccurate, i'd consider him a top 30 great, 20 is possible, 10 for me is a difinete no.

One could say he's the best metal bassist though, but he has some good competition with Geezer Butler, Steve Harris and John Myung for that title.

But yeah, Metallica - not that I listen to them very much these days, but they still have proved their worth and I've spent many happy hours listening to Ride The Lightining.
