I thought about that, then decided saying that (like you just did) would make this whole thread pointless, therefore killing it.
Plus a whole bunch of disillusioned people would gain knowledge, and like the commies taught us, with knowledge comes power, and public masses having power is bad.

I like some punk, but I wouldn't have a clue about genre-lising those sorts of bands. I love Black Flag, and especially tracks like Scream, although that isn't exaclty a traditional punk song. And I love the Wipers too. I love some rock, but like someone (Alo?) said on the previous page rock artists have a huge area to piss about with, and "bad" bands often make good rock. Metal I seem to love more than I tend to acknowledge. Most of my favourite stuff is Metal-like, but I have long since gone off genres like thrash in favour of Doom.

Lol I still haven't answered the question after all that.

you should be able to still name a few.
Here i'll name some, and tell me if that is what you mean by emo.

Fall Out Boy
My Chemical Romance
Death Cab for Cutie
AFI

Technically I believe Fall Out Boy, MCR, and Death Cab are emo, according to how the definition changed. AFI, well I don't really care.

Fall Out Boy clearly aren't they're pop punk DCFC aren't because none of their songs sound emoish. As for MCR maybe.
