I've been a fan since Odelay came out. I loved his work on the Scott Pilgrim vs The World soundtrack. All the Sex Bob-Omb songs he wrote are funny, and really cool lo-fi punkish songs. And wasn't Ramona a stunning song?

Oh my fvck he was part of the OST? That's why it's so good.

Indeed, and I also love the other songs on the soundtrack too like Metric, Broken Social Scene and the Black Lips. Overall great soundtrack for a great movie! Are you going to check out the movie on dvd? It's coming out on November 9th and I'm way stoked.

I'm bumping this, because Beck is god and he needs more attention round here.

It's funny, I was looking back on comments I left on this in like, 2006? I said Mellow Gold was the worst thing he's ever done, whilst I was also less than enthusiastic about Sea Change.

I was clearly musically challenged in 2006, because in 2011 I now firmly believe that both Mellow Gold and Sea Change are at least 9/10 albums. To be honest the guy has never released a bad album in my opinion, from Golden Feeling right through to Modern Guilt. Incredibly consistent, which again directly contradicts my misinformed statements of 2006!

I've never actually given Beck much of a chance. I really need to change that...

Yeah they're probably my two favourite Beck albums, they just seem to hit the spot more than his other stuff. After those two I'd probably favour Modern Guilt and Odelay. I could never really get into his first two albums Golden Feelings and A Western Harvest Field By Moonlight, they just seem a bit messy and unlistenable to me.

I wonder will we see a new album any time soon, it's been three years now since Modern Guilt.

Same, Sea Change is the best thing he's ever done I think.
