It's too whiny, and on the "Live and Rare" album, he just sounds terrible. It's like he's never heard a perfectly tuned note.

And I don't like how the bass over powers the treble. Ridiculous.

I agree about JD's voice. Its too raspy, but its not the put off for me. Hell, I can listen to an hour of Burton C. Bell or Phil Anselmo.......Davis' voice is just too....man, I dunno how to describe it.

I will give props to the drummer. He has some decent talent to him.

And I will also agree the bass is too overpowering. Its too slap happy. That works for Les Claypool, but thats because he has more to it than slapping a few chords over and over again. If you are going to have your bassist so up front and in focus with his sound, then he needs more substance to his music (ala, Claypool, Flea or Justin Chancellor.)

And also, I think it's stupid that they have 7 string guitars. Might as well just be playing on 4 of them since that's all they do.

Same goes with the bass. Cut it to 4 strings.....

I read Jordison is going to be drumming for Korn. That'd be something.

They use 7 strings to get extra low notes, not because they'd make legit use out of 7 strings. Detuning your low E enough to play some of their material would dumb it down to a noteless thud.

Not if you have a certain gauge of string.
