The debut album that started the Nirvana style rip-off with Gavin Rossdale`s terrible voice and terrible lyrics and terrible sound.

The Foo Fighters debut came out the same year in 1995 and its world`s away in quality, now that`s an album to love.

I couldn't care less about the vocals on the album. I like the sound and don't find them to be terrible musicians...

The Shins are pretty terrible.

i'm gonna chalk this up to the same effect i was talking about yesterday with that hardcore Soundgarden fan. by looking back at all that was produced rather than waiting for the next releases you're able to pass judgment on material differently than those of us who were patiently waiting for new stuff (and horribly grossed out when Glycerine hit).

I know what you mean.

For the record, 'Glycerine' would be one of my least favorites...

Actually I'm gonna take back what I said about Extreme earlier. I haven't listened to them in forever. So I decided to rejog my memory.

Nostalgia plays tricks on you sometimes.

Fun fact: One of their albums, I forget if it was the first one or the second one, was recorded in my hometown.
